Last update 02.01.2006| Hello again from me!!
Hey! check this out if you have not already seen it Nate's Profile interview from The Daily World
I finally got around to working on music again. My many years of prolific song writing has been documented, and now being recorded on CDs. At the time of this writing, I have documented seven CDs of my music. My favorites are on disc One and Two, but that should not take away anything from the other recordings. The songs are not in any particular order or arranged by date. There is more to sort through and there is yet-to-be created music. Most of these songs were recorded with my on personal equipment, notably a four-track Fostex and an eight-track Tascam cassette deck. The better recordings were on an eight-track 1/2 " that Bill Pitts had in the post-Nykko days, and at his (then) Black Creek Studios analog/digital studio. Most of the work was done at one of the buildings at Sideline Auto Wrecking, later work was done in my basement. Basements are good for music and band stuff. I would estimate that most of this work was done between 1986 and 2001. Bill recorded the some of the better recordings with me, and I did the rest. I believe that these recordings represent about 2/3 of my work, but it could be half. The next generation of music will be recorded onto a laptop, and I hope I only become a better songwriter/musician. |

There are some guest vocalists: Joseph Lee Wood, Doug George, Darrel Harris, and Bill Pitts. Bill also played some lead work. The instruments used are as follows: Gibson Les Paul Custom, Fender Stratocastor, Peavey Axelerator, Peavey Dyna-Bass five-string, Fender Jazz Bass five-string, Rickenbacker 4001 four-string, and a Peavey DPM2 keyboard. Drums and percussion were programmed using an Alesis HR-16 and a D4. I played and sang the vast majority of these recordings. Yep, I rock and I am funky, and sometimes romantic/mellow. I would like to mention that my musical influences are as vast as music itself. So here I go in no particular order or time frame: Elvis Costello, Paul McCartney, Rush, Yes, Kim Mitchell, Madonna, Prince, Van Halen, Beatles, Rolling Stones, John Mellencamp, The Eagles, James Taylor, Bad Finger, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Stevie Wonder, Journey, Duran Duran, Chick Corea, and lots of others. |
