NEWS

Word to all. It is all laid out like this ------

Hey we had a band practice! Scott Cokely was there and everything! Metal Dude broke a string, lucky for him Nate Dude had a Les Paul on the wall. Its official! Bud Dude has taken over the lead vocal duties on 'Anarchy In The U.K.' by the Sex Pistols. Speaking of live shows, Capital City Guitar has invited THE DUDES back to partake in the ARTS ROCK portion of ARTS WALK. The Olympia Police has decided that C.C.G. owner and ARTS ROCK promoter Bob Johnson won't have to handcuff himself to a door knob this year to ensure that the show goes on. The show takes place Saturday-April 21 and at least 8 bands will be performing! THE DUDES go on at 8P.M., in theory. So come on down to the heart of downtown Oly and enjoy the festivities. Hey you can even pick up a earthquake souvenir while your there.

There's a little treat coming up for the Irish Folk out there. Metal Dude and his duo partner Cindy will be playing the St.Patty's party at the Cedar Inn in Oly. The Bastard Cat's are also on the bill! THE DUDES have been very active in the auto world lately. J.Dude sold his screaming "Black Thunder" truck last week. Nate Dude also scored a buyer for the "Blue Blaster" Corvette. Metal Dude recently revealed the future color scheme for his bitchin road ragin Blazer. Viking Purple and Gibson Black will soon be the outer skin of this wicked ride. J. Dudes pursuit of his dream girl has been costly and unfruitful lately. He sent her flowers twice during the holiday season and has yet to receive a reply. By the way, if she's reading this, and you know who you are, call the Dude! He's to chicken to call you. That number would be (360) 570-0094. Metal Dude recently bungy-jumped off the Space Needle in attempt at publicity. Unfortunately no one saw him do it except Nate Dude. The good news is that Nate Dude took this opportunity to grab a couple of Needle items for his evergrowing collection. Speaking of Nate Dude, he really enjoy's his new job. You should hear him talk computer ! He kicked everyones butt in 'Computer Jeopardy' at band practice.

Still no new new's on Bud Dude. Why? We don't know. Be sure to check out the ARTS ROCK show and check back here for other spring and summer show dates! And don't forget! The next time someone say's to you 'Can you see what I'm saying?', look them straight in the eye and reply 'No! Can you hear where I'm lookin?' p.s. metal dude will be giving a seminar in improving penile girth through diet, physical well- being and yoga. SEE YA ON THE NET BABY! Late breaking news!!!!!! J. Dude will be in the P.A. area March 16th & 17th for a book signing of his latest publication "The Guy Wants A Date With His Dream Girl, Who Lives In P.A." that was recently released by Time/Warner Books.

Check back here for news on up coming shows.

Some ideas by the Dudes
Sometimes we wonder, What if different bands and/or musicians got together and formed new groups, projects or had big concerts? Now, we have actually pondered these thoughts for many years (not all of the time of course, just once in a while) and here are some of our ideas.

George Michael and Michael Jackson = George Michael Jackson
Elton John Lennon - Eddie Van Morrison - Boxcar Willie Nelson - Michael Jackson Browne
Michael Anthony Kiedis - Vince Neil Young - Ru Paul McCartney

Ted Nugent + Eddie Van Halen + Geddy Lee = Ed, Ted and Geddy
Glen Frey + Ian Anderson + Keith Richards + Pete Townsend = F.A.R.T.
Aerosmith + Slayer + Soundgarden + Hole = ASSHOLE
Skid Row + Richard Marx = Skid Marx

The Eagles, The Byrds, Wings, A Flock of Seagulls, The Black Crowes, Atomic Rooster
A get together for a big benefit show for the Audubon Society.

Boston, Chicago, Atlanta Rhythm Section, LA Guns, Kansas, New England
Could play at the national mayors/governors convention.

Bread, Moby Grape, Peanut Butter Jubilee, Meatloaf, Hot Tuna and Pearl Jam
"It's a Rock'n'Roll sandwich" at the Fillmore West.

The Beach Boys, Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men, Beastie Boys and Pet Shop Boys
A concert for Father O'Brien's home for wayward boys.

Judas Priest, Metal Church, Black Sabbath, Armored Saint, Faith No More
Might make for a nice, little religious rally and show.

Wisdom from Mexico 1998
No matter where you go, there you are.
Knowledge is power!
If you knew the answer, you'd know it!
If you can remember it, you forgot!
See what I'm saying? No, hear where I'm
looking?
What's up with that?
If you didn't see it, then you missed it!
If you're not telling the truth, you must be lying!
If you recognized him, you'd know him.
